I am excited to announce our next Free Read, Defending Marriage: Twelve Arguments for Sanity, by Anthony Esolen, Professor of English at Providence College. Esolen utilizes moral, theological, and culture arguments to defend the institution of marriage as the bedrock of society, and incorporates themes from many great authors in each chapter, from Shakespeare and Spenser to Tolkien and Orwell. Especially in his last chapter, “The Beauty of the Country of Marriage,” Esolen paints a beautiful picture of what we are throwing away when we lose our understanding of what marriage is. We are pleased to promote this wonderful book.
